DESCRIPTION:13th Annual Lao Culture Dance Fashion MN New Year Celebration 2026 \nJoin us for the Lao Culture Dance Fashion MN New Year Celebration 2026 — a vibrant and joyful community event honoring Lao heritage\, tradition\, and artistic excellence. \nDate: May 2nd\, 2026 \n🗓 Time: 5:00 PM – Midnight\n📍 Location: Unisen Banquet Hall – 1800 White Bear Ave Maplewood\, MN 55109 \n📞 Contact: Birdy Niphone Phommaras – 612-472-3973 \nThis annual celebration brings together families\, youth\, elders\, and community members to welcome the Lao New Year with traditional dance\, music\, fashion\, and cultural performances. Our talented student dancers\, ages 4–18\, will showcase classical traditional  and folk dances that reflect the beauty\, grace\, and history of Laos. \nThis year’s celebration will feature special musical performances by Ket Insisiengmay\, along with guest rappers Gumbyand NouCheng & MaiYer. The live band will also include Keyboardist Chue Lee and Guitarist Ar Tue Kue\, bringing dynamic energy and a powerful fusion of traditional and contemporary Lao-American music to the stage. And Lam Vong Dance for all attendee. \nA highlight of the evening will be the cultural Pageant Miss NangSangKhan\, including the ceremonial Crowning of Miss Nang Sang Khan\, celebrating grace\, leadership\, and the preservation of Lao traditions among the next generation. \nWe are also honored to welcome our Special Guest Dance Teams: \n\nA Vietnamese Dance Team performing the traditional Lion Dance\nA Chinese Dance Team presenting a beautiful cultural dance performance\n\nThese guest performances reflect unity\, cultural exchange\, and the celebration of Minnesota’s diverse Southeast Asian communities. \nThe program will also include a traditional Lao fashion show\, live entertainment\, and cultural storytelling that reflects the richness and elegance of Lao heritage. \nMore than just a celebration\, this event represents months of dedicated training\, mentorship\, and cultural education. Through weekly rehearsals and instruction\, students build confidence\, discipline\, teamwork\, and pride in their identity. The New Year celebration serves as a culminating performance where they share their hard work with the broader Minnesota community. \nThe Lao Culture Dance Fashion MN New Year Celebration 2026 is open to all and welcomes people from diverse backgrounds to experience the beauty of traditional Lao arts.
